hi mike,
thanks for the quick reply. The image/video quality improved great! I did notice that every now and then video image shows like lines jittering horizontally…no pixels anymore which is good, but the lines still show up… any idea how I can get rid of that?
I have the bitrate at 2.5mbps, the image quality at 100%
under basic video settings:
i have “allow interlaced processing” unchecked. what does that mean?
encoding passes: i have it under “one” does having it under “two” improve the quality?
bitrate mode: i have it under “contasnt” what does “variable” mean?!
frame rate: 29.97 which is fine, par: 0.9 how i have the original footage captured.
should i allow interlaced processing? have 2 encoded passes? change it to variable? will that take care of the “lines” problem i’m having??
thanks in advance!

October 12, 2007 at 5:14 pm in reply to: importing from premiere pro lags on encore and shakes! Thanks Jeff,
I will try that in a couple of hours.
I use only DVD+R or DVD-R not RW since I don’t have those. I thought maybe the +R would make a difference but it didn’t.
I’ll update you on my progress, thanks again!

October 12, 2007 at 4:45 pm in reply to: importing from premiere pro lags on encore and shakes!Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the quick response.
How do I reverse the field order? I’m not in front of the program right now and not very familiar with all the features. Is that where I go to adobe media encoder and under layers pick upper instead of lower? I know there’s an option like that, I always leave it at lower which I think is standard.
Thanks in advance,
Vin.

October 12, 2007 at 12:56 am in reply to: importing from premiere pro lags on encore and shakes!another note,
if i play the video clip on the project panel on the top left corner, it plays perfect, the problem ONLY happens when i put it into the timeline… that’s when the video starts shaking and you can see it in the monitor and as i described above, see the red video timelime indicator jump when moving it around while the audio one stays normal…
help!

Hi there,
It’s a 9 second scroll up.
I’m going to try that flickerfree credit roll from that site to see if it works!
Thanks again guys!

hey mike,
i did the following: encode mpeg2-dvd on adobe media encode and got both audio and video files.
however, when i burnt it to dvd, it stutters like crazy on the television but plays fine on the laptop. not just any television with a dvd player, all of them.
should i just encode it as MPEG2 instead of MPEG2-DVD ??? with the ntsc mpeg-2 generic preset?
thanks in advance,
mike
