    interesting…

i did notice when i would use wmv encoding it would appear but not in mpeg2-dvd…

so when im encoding it on wmv, should i not have both “allowed interlaced” checked and “deinterlaced” checked at the same time but only “deinterlaced?” what do you recommend? i have kept it like that because it’s been working for me as a .wmv

    thanks mike,

    hello,

i figuired out the problem. i had pp2 running in the background everytime i would run it and that would cause the lag. even if i closed it afterwards it would still lag. i’d have to restart and open just encore, no shaking nothing, worked like a charm!

thanks for everyone who helped me out with this,

October 25, 2007 at 12:27 pm in reply to: easiest way to make a simple dvd menu on pp2?

    hi mike,

i had to put this problem on hold for a while to take care of some other stuff and now that i have some free time to take care of this problem, i still can’t figuire it out. i’ve noticed a few other people have had the same problem but no one has offered any solutions except this one guy who downgraded from encore 2.0 to 1.5 and said it worked fine.

i use adobe media encoder, mpeg-2 dvd, encode the entire sequence without a problem and get my two files.

i can open the files in media player, they work perfect.

i import it to adobe encore, and immediately it starts lagging and getting jerky on the monitor. first time i thought it had to transcode, it did, same problem, burnt it to a dvd, played it on tv, it lags, shakes, etc…

i’ve tried everything what people have said from changing the field order from lower to upper, etc… and same problem every time i import it to encore.

do you use encore 2.0 ?? can you tell me exactly what settings on adobe media encoder you used?

    thanks in advance!

    hi there,

took me a little longer than expected to give it a try changing the field order from lower to upper. turns out, that didn’t work. in fact, on pp2 it would stop halfway into the project at a certain spot where i have a video effect. regardless, i imported the footage and it still shakes and lags. the audio is perfect…

i went to the adobe forums and some people have had the same problems but nobody has the solution! except one person who downgraded to encore 1.5 and it worked fine…

there’s an option when i select mpeg-2dvd on pp2 multiplexing it says none, should i change it to dvd?

i don’t understand it at all… it plays perfect on media player, if i burn from pp2 directly to the dvd there is no problem, but just importing it to the software (not even transcoding it yet) on the monitor you see it lag.

    help!!!

    hey blast,

    thanks for the quick reply.

yeah, i just wanted to experiment with it. however, everytime i try to do that – convert it to 16:9, i get that “black border frame” around the footage. i got around that problem by simply encoding it in it’s par, 0.9. i was just wondering if there’s a way i can convert it without having that black border frame.

    thanks,

    vin.

this may be a dumb question, but how can i create a frame of pure white? should i just import a white jpeg from photoshop or is there an easier way to do it on pp2?

    thanks,

    vin.
