I get best results when ripping DVDs with stream processing or frame serving to demuxed uncompressed audio and raw video streams. DGIndex works great for this. The files import with no problems into PPro and Encore.

Oh man, it’s about time! Blackmagic has been promising those uncompressed fx and transitions for ages. I might just upgrade my basic Decklink card to and Extreme now. Thanks for the news Gary.

Thanks Steven – that’s a great suggestion. I wasn’t aware of the product feature request page.

Steven, just a friendly suggestion as you are a well-known and highly visible member of the Premiere Pro community – rather than take a back-seat waiting approach, perhaps you could lobby some of your Adobe contacts and take a more proactive role in pushing for improvements and more timely upgrades? Again, just a suggestion; otherwise, you’re doing a wonderful job of hosting this forum and providing excellent support. I also love your Lynda.com tutorials.

Nice. Is batch export not possible via a plugin?

  • I’m using HFX 5.2 (build 41) with PPro 1.5 but can only get the transitions to work. The full effects don’t appear to work with this combination. Has anyone else had any success?
