Thank you. But, my problem is I just want only a portion of the sequence. Sometimes only a freeze frame or a small portion of the sequence. It will never be the entire sequence. If I import the project, how can I save the portion that I need to create my new project? I want to look at all the projects, find the part that I need and save it into a new project. If I do save as, it will save the project again and not just the portion that I need..

Update on the problem and solution. Like sometimes happens, it’s a simple solution. Once I remembered that the file is actually not imported and saved with the project, problem solved. Thanks for responding to my post.

What do you mean by play in media player? I think that there is something from the old system that needs to be on the new because if I go further and try to open there is no timeline and if I try to put it into a timeline I get this red screen with a bunch of stuff on it that looks like Chinese. Maybe I should try Matrox to see if they have an answer.

No. There is no video. If I try to play what is there, it’s a red screen with what looks like Chinese writing lol.

Thanks. I get the message ” The project was saved from a previous version of Adobe Premiere Pro and must be converted. The original project filed will not be modified” continue I then get “The pre-set used by one or more sequences in this project require third party component that could not be located. The sequence will be modified to use a custom setting.” When it’s modified it’s saved as a file Then a get a third screen that is evidently looking for the “third party”. If I do skip the project opens, but no time line and properties shows as offline.

I have a lot of my previous projects on an external disc that I would like to burn dvds with Adobe Encore on my new system. My operating system is Windows 7 and I have Matrox Mini02. The old system was xp and Matrox also. Thanks.

Thank you for your response. I have watched Jeff Foster’s youtube video several times and although I follow his tutorial, I do not get the same result. I wonder if the fact that I also have Matrox whether that makes a difference. On his video I do not see the “untitled” that shows on mine. Thanks.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I never give up when I have a problem. I keep trying to find a solution. And, I did. I had the wrong player in Premiere Pro. Forget what it was, but it was supposed to be Adobe Desktop Player. Once I selected that I worked fine. Once again, thank you. This forum has helped me a lot.
Library was missing also. Got the solution for that on line. Seems to be working fine until the next problem. lol

Sorry I sent the previous post to your reply. Decided to open the program and see what I could do. Entering the pictures is not as complicated as I thought Figured it out without too much trouble.Have the intro done to the video. Have to work on motion now. Thanks for your help.

Thanks. In previous versions of Premiere Pro to put still images in the timeline I had to make sure that they were 720 x 480. Does that not matter now in the newer version? Also, if I remember correctly the resolution in video is 72, but if I wanted to zoom in I had to have a higher resolution. I plan on doing some editing in Photoshop so I’m wondering what settings I should use to save the photographs. None of the tutorials that I purchased address this.

Thanks. Basically what I was hoping is that once I get it into the timeline I could do some small edits and add chapter and then be able to burn the disc in Encore. I still have a computer with the old system and I used DVD Workshop in that one. Don’t want to go back to that, and I want to use some old projects to learn the system.
