    I had a similar problem too, my Mac would crash at the “allocating memory” process on startup, even after multiple un-installs and re-installs..

    I finally figured out that I had to manually delete the preference files, as the uninstaller doesn’t seem to do it on it’s own.

    Good thing that I’m a bit of a geek…

    My project is in 16-bit, and yes, my monitors are all calibrated. I was looking at all of the footage on the same monitor..

    I noticed that my “Red settings” menu in CS4 keeps on crashing, so I think that the problem lies there. Thank a lot !
