After one too many headaches trying to edit VOBS in Vegas I now use AnyDVD+DVD Decryptor, convert to AVI in Nero 6, edit in Vegas. It’s more steps, but I don’t have to use larger files than necessary and get excellent results. That’s how I got to be a contestant on Groucho’s, You Bet Your Life, five years before I was born. UJ

The source avi started as 720×480 and was processed through an fx program and came out as 556×414 uncompressed avi. And unfortunately that is the size I need to match. It looks like I’ll redo everything in the fx program to keep things even. I thought the snapshot from clip would just copy whatever the property file rez said it was. UJ

Interesting show, too bad it was so short, there wasn’t much time for questions.

There’s an Event Videographers forum here at Creative Cow that may be of more help. UJ

I was selecting ALL the files to be sequenced by Vegas when I should have been selecting just the first. Didn’t know Vegas selected the rest automatically. I’m happy now. Back to the experiment! UJ

Well, I found the problem and it was a goof on my part. When selecting the images for Vegas to sequence I figured I had to select ALL the images that were to be included. I didn’t know the program would select all like numbered pics to be added to the sequence automatically when I selected the first one only. Thanks for the time, Ed. UJ

I would consider it just for the presets alone, but until I resolve the file import to Vegas I won’t be moving past the demo. UJ
