sorry it took so long to get back to this… I’ve included a link to the output still which shows the corrupt frame, I had one other in this project. The layer that was affected was the globe (all “dimmed-out” with scanline appearance), which was an imported rendered movie..My AE display did not show anything like this at full & best quality. Don’t get it…

    thanks guys,
I also have new problems scrubbing through ram cached previews, and my final renders no longer play smoothly in Quicktime since upgrading, but that’s for another forum perhaps.

Nice one on the “use system shortcut keys”(face is red)…I had no luck with the preview, I had the preferences set for adaptive resolution, Also tried to toggle fast previews off or wireframe and get no response when moving the playhead through a cached area.

Yes, the programs are the tools. We are the artists.

    thanks for the response.

Sounds great, give me an address. The problem project is being opened through AE7, but was created in v6.5.1…here’s a screen grab:

I also have a .ai question…… When I bring in v.8 .ai files of words, the object consists of paths for each letter instead of a path for the whole word. How can I get that right?

thanks for the feedback. I’ve posted the message with adobe forum as well as another AE forum, we’ll see what I get. Right now I’m rendering a file from that project and will re-adjust the work area again, and try to reduce the project as well, maybe there is a corrupt file I’m unaware of?

    thanks again

you would think so, as I did. But the preview area is the whole comp (15 secs)
