April 18, 2006 at 8:51 pmBeing unable to hide the app (at least consistently) is a known bug. I haven’t noticed any render speed differences, but have been experiencing nasty kernel crashes since updating to 10.4.6 🙁

April 18, 2006 at 9:49 pmFor whatever it’s worth, the only time I had trouble hiding AE7 was when I also had Bridge open at the same time. I’ve stopped using Bridge and haven’t had a single time since where AE7 wouldn’t hide when I wanted it to. That was on 10.4.3 through 10.4.5. I haven’t updated to 10.4.6 yet.

April 19, 2006 at 1:00 pmthanks guys,
I also have new problems scrubbing through ram cached previews, and my final renders no longer play smoothly in Quicktime since upgrading, but that’s for another forum perhaps. -

April 19, 2006 at 4:13 pmTo hide any OS X app, hit cmd+tab (to bring up the application switcher), and when the application you want to hide is selected, hit the “h” key to hide it. You can also quit any application using the same method, instead hitting the “q” key.
