    Thanks. Not really sure how to send a log file, and a screenshot would just be of the right click dialog.Theres no error or anything, it just doesn’t work.

    When Send to Premiere worked, it still didn’t properly send the sub clip. It would just send the whole file with no in’s or out’s given. But I’m trying to get away from that and just have the clip be it’s own clip.

    I assume they’re subclips. I haven’t really spent much time with the logging process, but I believe we bring in the full MOV (it’s a full football game broadcast, for reference), and then an intern sub clips out each play or various shots. What results is a list of clips with Quick Name, Footage Type, Notes, etc (lots of football specific data).

    I just did Export As> Movies, but only like 4 had filenames, the rest were just the original filename with a number at the end. I need this to be the Quick Name.

    From what I understood, FCP/QT Pro can cut up DVCProHD files without re-encoding them (not sure how, I’ve only done that with MPEG files) so I was hoping that would be possible.

    This is basically what I want, but I’m looking to do it somewhat automatically, or on a bunch of clips.
    I know I can do Export as> Movie, but it just names them whatever the “master” clip is named, not what the logged clips quick names are.

    It’s a lot easier on our system to have these smaller clips

    Send to Premiere hasn’t worked since we updated to CC. New CatDV has “Send to Premiere CC”, but it doesn’t work. Even when it did, it didn’t correctly set in and outs of the sub clip.
    Even still, that’s not what I’m looking for.

    Not exactly answering my question about absolutes, but I guess this works in finding it sorta manually:

    angle = transform.yRotation%360-thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).transform.yRotation;
    if (angle > 90)
    0
    else
    100

  • I’ve had the same issue with FS700 footage.
    We already use ClipWrap for other purposes, but Resolve does NOT work in RT with these at all.

    i’m in sorta the same boat as you. I have lots of varied source clips, and EDL and XML do not seem to work.
    I have 4×3 clips that are scaled and moved in PP, and Resolve doesn’t seem to recognize this well at all.

    Another huge problem seems to be missing clips. I have flattened everything down to one track, and yet it still seems to ask me if I want to look in other folders for clips.

    Sorry to hijack your thread, but it seems like there should be an easier way to do this.

    I tried using SpeedGrade, but I don’t really have time to learn the UI. It does however export DPX’s. Can we use those in Resolve easily with XML/EDL?

    I’ve had no problems with it, and haven’t noticed any slowness about it.

    I have a Lacie Rugged 7200rpm 500GB drive that I use via FW800 almost daily doing stuff mostly in AE, but also in Premiere, and occasionally Avid and FCP, and have had no problems at all.

    I’d definitely check it out.

  • I believe what you want is just to put a Compositing Tag on everything that you dont want and uncheck “Seen By Camera”
