Yeah, I do have a bad habit of just slapping on adjustment layers… but thanks for the reply 🙂

Sorry, I mean I have 3 precomps now, each contains the extruded text, camera, light, and environment layer. But sometimes, when I make a change to the main comp, Ae has to re calculate all the raytracing for each of the text layers inside their own precomps. Is there a way to almost turn the text into a rendered video layer that Ae doesnt have to recalculate every time?

Thats awesome! Thanks! Now how would I make it only around the light? Should I try to track the light and then parent a mask to it? Or is there an easier way?

After looking around, I think the problem might have been a missing redist since my computer is so new.

Yeah, but it shows the same when I click on “all” or any of the other folders…. It just shows a blank.

I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 13. I tried reinstalling it, with no luck. It worked back on my laptop, but after switching to a desktop, I noticed the missing FX :(. Thanks for any help!

When you open some of the missing materials, does it give you a “missing file” error? Because sometimes when moving files around, C4D loses the path to image files used in a material. If this is the case try relocating them.

Hi! Thanks for the quick answer! Im a little confused though… do you mean duplicate the adjustment layer with the effect? So I have two ripple adjustment layers, then precomp them?
