December 10, 2013 at 10:06 am in reply to: easily create a 5-minute countdown timer from image files?…Give us a bit more information- what kind of countdown do you want? Do you need to have a time counter that shows seconds counting down over the stills you have or you just need the files to change from 9 to 0 in the span of 5 minutes? If it’s the latter, import all files (9 to 0) as a sequence, apply time remap and stretch to 5 min, or, depending on what frame rate you work at, divide 5 min by ten and set each still for that number of frames one after the other.
If you need to show seconds counting down, you can comp on top a text layer (or numbers) time remaped… but it’s hard to say without seeing the actual images.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

December 5, 2013 at 10:43 am in reply to: Fish-eye / curved layer warp in 3d spaceCassius pointed you in the right direction, however besides the displacement I recommend using 3d distortion in the same plugin and at least FreeForm V2 if not FreeForm Pro – here are a couple of tutorials that can help:

November 29, 2013 at 9:24 pm in reply to: Using Photoshop to paint video frames. Best way? What I would do:
track the camera OR use planar tracking in Mocha
create clean or blurred panels to replace the ads in PSD for all that you see in a shot
position them in 3d space to match the background and replace the originals using the 3d camera generated by the track OR replace (corner pin) using track data from Mocha.
roto the skater and comp on top.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

November 28, 2013 at 8:34 pm in reply to: motion tile weird border appearing when selecting mirror edgesI think Erik is right – most likely you have a pixel or two of alpha at the edge of your frame.

For something similar you could just design each of the strokes in AI, apply glow (in 32 bit) in AE and use FreeForm Pro to distort and animate in 3d space.

November 22, 2013 at 7:21 am in reply to: Was this made with Adobe After Effects? It could be – you can only be sure if you ask the person who did it.
However, AE can be used together with 3rd party plugins to generate similar animations.
FreeForm Pro from Mettle is one of the plugins that can be used. Here’s a tutorial on that:

As it was mentioned you could render out a matte sequence or the footage with an alpha, however that will not eliminate the tweaking you will need to apply for the compositing process. Unless you have a really old machine, you should be able to handle two layers. If you have multiple objects/actors that need to be composited in the same shot, do one at a time and render lossless in between.

A bit confusing at first, not being familiar with Fiverr – I thought you where asking about the website (omproductions). I have a lot of thoughts, but it would help to be more precise in your question. I you mean something like ” is it interesting for AE work ” , “does it bring the market for motion graphics down” and so on, then I have a few. You get what you pay for is still valid in this context. However, because of all the garbage out there there will be people who will pay for just about anything, so I think it’s possible to make some money if you got no better way to do it. That being said, I do not feel threatened in my job security by potential Fiverr “AE artists”.
