Drive name can be different
(Optionally: Do an export of your final sequence – ideally with BITC – so you have a reference.)
Export your finalsequence ‘as premiere pro project’
Close your PP project.
Hide your original media by unmounting the drive, or renaming with xx as start so PP will not see it.
Open the final sequence project in PP & it will prompt you to relink media. Find the first clip and it should find the others. You may have issues if you have multiple clips with the same name.
Save that and put it on drive with media.

Personally I’ve worked with both ProRes Proxy and DNXHR LB – but had to roll my own to get burn ins I wanted.

Actually that setting only appears to reflect in the drop-down camera selection when right clicking and selecting ‘multicamera’.
The behaviour you are reporting (showing the source file name or source clip name, rather than the multicam sequence name) is one I would *like* to have available, but I am only seeing the multicam sequence name – regardless of multicam being enabled or not.

Is that down to clip naming selection when making the multicam sequence ?

You can use an existing sequence as a multicam clip – cut it into another sequence, right click on the nested sequence clip & ‘enable multicam’. Can get messy if you want to switch audio- but easy for video.

PP proxy works well. Roll your own preset with window burn & it’s very obvious when in proxy mode.

Beware audio in multicam clips in Premiere if you may ever need to flatten them. Unpredictable results are likely to ensue.

Search ‘field recorder workflow’ for info, but really talk to your sound mixer & make sure she is happy with the workflow
