  • Herb! Thank You!!
This is the answer. All of my cutting happens in the timeline. I can finally use the multi-clip feature in a way that applies to the way I cut.
    Thanks again,

  • Hi John,

Thank you so much for such a detailed and well explained answer. Unfortunately, I think my original query is confusing people. My bad!

I’m going to copy to you a further explaination that I have already sent to Mike Barber. Maybe it will clarify my problem. I’m not sure there is a soulution.

Anyway, thank you so much for your help and no worries if you have don’t have anything more.

Here’s maybe a better description of my problem:

My problem is that I do all of my cutting in the timeline. I don’t pop things up in the preview viewer then cut them into a timeline. Instead I put all of the footage in the timeline and manipulate it there. Soooo….I’m trying to figure a way to see the multi-clip split screen while I’m screening rushes in the time line, then turn off the split and cut the sequence. I think I’m asking a bit much but I was hoping there was a way of doing this.

    Take care and thanks again,
    Trevor Ambrose

Hey Steve, thanks for the feedback. What I’m really looking to do is see a comment or any logging info of my own choosing directly in the timeline. As in, I’d like to see a comment directly on the segment in the timeline, the way you can see the clip name on the segment in the timeline. Any ideas?
    Again, thanks for help.
    Trev.
