Garbage mattes were indeed deprecated in CC 2105 (9.0), since the versatile Mask tools found in each effect provide the same (and added functionality). You could apply a Mask to Opacity that should meet your needs.

Should be any format that previously had Source Settings, is now moved to Master Clip Effects. This should include Sony RAW. Just checked a clip and it was now under Master Clip Effect in CC 2015 (9.0)

You would want to create a custom preset for ProRes 422 HQ. Go to Export Settings (Export Media) or AME, set Format to QuickTime. Under the Video tab, set the Video Codec to Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) and click the Match Source button. Hold down the Opt/Alt key and click the Save Preset button (upper right next tot he Preset pulldown menu). This will allow you to export a preset.

Open the Project Manager and click the Import Preset button. Import your custom preset.

New Sequence will allow you to save a custom preset. In the New Sequence dialog, select the Settings tab, change you your desired settings, then click the Save Preset button (bottom left of dialog).

Are you displaying audio time units? Make sure you are set to video timecode or frames, then typing in timecode or + or – values in the timecode display (bottom left of Program or Source monitors) should move the playhead.

Correct, the field order settings are now integrated directly in Basic Video Settings.
