There have been some folks running into this issue. The workaround is to disable Composite Preview During Trim. Go to the Timeline panel and click on the wrench icon (Time Display Settings) and uncheck Composite Preview During Trim.

What file format(s) are your clips? The Create New Trimmed Project option in CS6 was limited in the number of formats that it could trim. Basically DV and small number of QuickTime codecs. If it was not one of the supported codecs, then it would copy the entire clip, which sounds like what you are seeing.

You could try the trial version of CC2015 (9.0) to see if Consolidate and Transcode meets your needs.

Ah. I think you may have selected the Program Monitor Settings. Sorry for any confusion.

Within the Timeline panel, select the wrench button for Timeline Display Settings and you should see the option. Screenshot attached that hopefully helps.

In the Timeline panel, click the Timeline Display Settings (wrench) menu and uncheck Composite Preview During Trim option. See if that improves your performance.

Not really any good way in Premiere other than renaming one by one in the Project panel. You could use the File Rename option in the Ingest panel of Prelude and then File menu > Send to Premiere Pro.

Is this with a new CC 2015 (9.0) Project or using a previous version Project (e.g.: CC 2014 8.2)? In the case of previous version Projects with RED media, it will still use Source Settings (for compatibility). The change to Master Clip Effect is only with new CC 2015 (9.0) Projects.

Master Clip Effects support was not added until CC 2014 (8.0). You can install it via Creative Cloud.

Looks like you are set to Show Audio Time Units and Milliseconds. Go to the wrench icon (bottom right) of Program monitor and uncheck Show Audio Time Units. Then right-click on the Playhead Position timecode in the Timeline panel (upper left) and make sure you are set back to timecode.

This is new functionality. To turn it off, click the Timeline Display Settings button (wrench icon in upper left of panel) in the Timeline panel and uncheck Composite Preview During Trim.
