You might be able to put ease() on each of the pages and tie the first point to a value of the slider and then the last point to a value of the slider.
Maybe Jan 31 start = 0 and Jan 31 end = 3. Do that for each of the sheets with the three “sec” offset.
Then animate your slider from 0 to 34.

loopOut("cycle", 0)You have a friend in loopOut()
You’ll need to bring your composition into a new comp and turn on Time Remap. That will give you a keyframe at the start and a keyframe at the end.
Activate the expression field for the Time Remap and input the following:
loopOut(“cycle”, 0)
“Cycle” is what starts back at the first keyframe after passing the last keyframe. And the ZERO tells the expression to use all keyframes.
If your layer flashes away at the loop point, just back up one frame, create a keyframe there and delete the last keyframe.
VOILA! Infinitely looping layer!

I think you just need to use the Null to control the Camera’s Z position as well.
You could always throw another Null into the mix. Parent the Camera to Null 2 and then Null 2 to Null 1.
Use Null 1 to move the camera and Null 2 to rotate?

Ole,
I’ve been experimenting with this a little in AE. I have sort of worked out with the use of CC Sphere. It’s necessary to create precomp that is big (twice as long as it is tall) and put the CC Sphere effect on it in your final comp. The use expressions to control the rotation of each axis of the CC Sphere by attaching them to the camera’s rotation.
You could then attach either put the layer in 3D space or use the camera’s Z position to drive the radius of the CC Sphere. Again, the image has to be big so it doesn’t pixelate.

I think what you would have to do hear is Convert Expression to Keyframes. The problem is that you’ll get a keyframe for every frame. Look under Animation Menu> Keyframe Assistants> Convert Expression to Keyframes.
You might try to look at your Motion Graph and delete all but a few spread out keyframes. That would allow you to then use the bezier curves on those keyframes.
It’s kind of tedious, but it works.
Something you might try (this depends on your interest in Nulls) is to use the position of a Null to do fine adjustments on the position of the particle emitter.
Good Luck!

August 5, 2008 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Word Processor preset with pingPong expression? There were a few things I had to do to make this happen.
The first was to add an extra letter on the end of the word so the cursor has one more space to go. Otherwise, the cursor just disappears.
Second, I changed the cursor blink to 10 instead of 8. You might have to adjust this further. 10 is what worked for me.
I then found the end of the build(right before my final letter appeared) and set a new keyframe there for the Type On slider. I Paged Up a few frames so the cursor disappeared and set another keyframe.
Finally, I added the following expression to the Type On slider.
loopOut(“Cycle”,1)
The loopOut() expression will look at your keyframes and do some sort of looping. “Cycle” means go back to the beginning (or the specified keyframe) and repeat the animation.
Putting a 1 in the last place there tells the loopOut() expression to count one frame back from the last keyframe and use that as the start of the loop.
I hope that helps!

Sure!
Use SHIFT + or SHIFT – to scroll through the transfer modes.

If you have a lot of parameters that need to change, you could set up one layer with all Expression Sliders or whatever that are referenced by the expression in each layer. That way you control everything from one place and only have to put your expression on each layer once.
A little more work is Copying the Expression Only under the EDIT menu. Then select all necessary layers and hit PASTE.
That keeps you from having to open each expression field.
It would be cool, though if there is a way to convert the Name of a layer to expression language. Maybe that will be solved by one of our totally awesome expression gurus.
I hope that helps.
