October 28, 2012 at 9:18 pm in reply to: Resetting the default sequence settings… instant correctness without adustmentNick… you are a man of brilliance. I completely see what you’re saying, AND it helps me organize all of the little clips in the main sequence.
Thank you for your help with this one… this is a kick ass solution.

October 25, 2012 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Resetting the default sequence settings… instant correctness without adustmentI like it but the only reason that I need a bunch of individual sequences is because I have 200 videos where I’m teaching something in individual projects. These are demonstration clips for those videos, so each demonstration needs to be plopped into that video file as its only little unit…. at least thats the best way I can think to do it currently. :-/
Thank you for your help!

Good call man, thanks!

October 24, 2012 at 12:19 am in reply to: Noise reduction in multitrack clip… tearing my hair outHey Rusty,
The best solution that I’ve found is to export the entire audio to an AIFF file, then open that with soundtrack and run the noise reduction. Then you safe the file as a soundtrack file and just drag it right onto your final cut timeline. You might end up reducing noise on some clips that dont have the noise, but at least your voice or whatever your filming will be uniformly affected by the reduction.
How irritating is that crap though? Useless damn multitrack projects. So stupid… they just lose an incredibly important function.

October 23, 2012 at 5:24 pm in reply to: Resetting the default sequence settings… instant correctness without adustmentI was doing that, but when you have 200 sequences to make, the keystrokes add up. The problem that I’m having is that after I accept the dialogue and look at the settings, I’m not able to see an identical option in the easy set up.
There should be some type of auto detect easy set-up, or “copy sequence settings”… I’m mad that there isnt.

October 23, 2012 at 4:24 am in reply to: Resetting the default sequence settings… instant correctness without adustmentHey Shane,
Thanks for the help man! Unfortunately, I went into easy setups, and nothing seems to match my currect sequence settings. When I hit command 0 to pull up the sequence settings, it says HD 1440×1080… nowhere in the entire “easy setup” list is that option given. I don’t know what to pick and I dont want to screw up my video :-/

Hi David,
Thank you for the reply! I was able to get a compressor project open with 15 different sequences, but they all exported with the wrong settings. I am not really seeing an efficient way to change my settings within compressor to get these things to export properly 🙁
Do you have any advice? I can clearly see the settings that I need when checking the sequence settings.
As a side question, is there any way that I can change the default sequence settings to match the settings that I’m using? It would be great if I could just open up a sequence and have the settings automatically correct.

Hey Sandeep,
I’m not really sure… is this something that I could find under “preferences” or something?
If you can help me find that, maybe I can just set it how I want it and this will work.
