Holy crap that’s brilliant. I’ve never even used media manager before… based on the information that you’ve given me, will this be easy to figure out?

I can always use youtube to look up some tutorials so I think I’ll be fine. Handles… that’s smart.

I’ll give it a shot in a couple of weeks and send a reply to this thread when I’m done. Thanks a million for the help with this one!

Hey Jerry… sorry for taking so long to respond.

I was in the middle of editing in the viewer, placing in and out points, and I hit either the number 8 or 9… maybe 0. This caused my canvas to be blurry and terrible looking. Again, the grey that surrounds the video turned to black. I went to this website to find out how to trash the prefs… now that I’ve trashed the prefs and other stuff that they reccomeded, I get a message that FCP can’t detect my firewire or something like that. Here’s the site:

I pulled everything out of the trash and its still messed up.

I posted a pic of the problematic canvas and also a pic of a normal looking canvas on another sequence.

Please let me know what you think.

The intro isnt even really a video, it’s the text changing in sync with some music. It would just be really nice to be able to double click on the text and change it in the viewer.

The only issue is the size of the background image… its actually very easy for me to drop in a new background image each time and keep the text/musical allignment.

It’s really more of a “why the heck is this thing resizine?!” issue…

It’s already much more convenient having done what I’ve already done, I just want to make it push buton ridiculously easy!

Will I still be able to alter the text for different videos with a ‘self contained quick time clip’?

GOT IT!

I just didnt want to push anything that would mess something up… one of the buttons over there said something about deleting render files so I freaked out.
