Right. Everything is routed properly, and the process works, except for these little pops and clicks. Everything is going to the proper channel, but for some reason, there are little glitches happening in channel 4.
I’m not at my wife’s office today, but I have told her to try the mixdown idea. I’ll post back when I hear.

The tracks are routed in FCP. Tracks 1 & 2 are a stereo pair, tracks 3 & 4 are mono tracks. The sequence has 4 audio outputs, routed to the respective channels of the AJA.
When not previewing on an external monitor, the sound is routed through the digital output of the G5 into a pair of studio monitors. A second pair of identical studio monitors are connected to the audio out of the digibeta.

This is an audio mixdown. There are four tracks of audio on the timeline, each going to a separate channel on the digibeta. Only four audio files on the entire timeline.

I just picked up a Mad Dog case at CompUSA for $60. It looks nice and works great so far, though I just got it last week.
One note, the box implies it comes with a firewire cable, but it only has USB cable included.

Or, if you have the DVCProHD deck in house, just run component out of your HDV camera into the DVCProHD deck and dub the HDV to DVCProHD. Those are your new masters. Use that time code. Log & Capture from those.
It WILL be worth it.

Have you changed your Easy Setup to the HDV option? Sounds like you’re still working in a DV project, from your offline. Now that you’re ready to online, you’ll need to either change your setup, or Media Manage over to a new project which is set to HDV settings.

If Apple is saying iBooks are for students and that’s a reason to drop firewire, they’d better stop pushing the iSight as a reason parents should buy their kids a Mac as they send them off to school…being a firewire only camera…

I doubt the new iBooks will have an expansion card slot, since the current line of iBooks doesn’t have one.
