Rock steady, and really nice people;
I’ve heard good things about Cal Digit,
but no personal experience.
The SATA drive set up has come a long way
in the past year or so.

David, yeah I had it for 5 days once.
It started on a transatlantic flight; 8 hours of misery
in a confined space. It left me very weak.

Did the Render Manager thing, but it didn’t help.
Same dropped audio issue.
The only thing that works temporarily is the mixdown.
Thanks for the suggestion anyhow.

I have to say it’s quite a humbling,
yet rewarding experience to ask for
and receive help from a knowledgeable
group scattered to the four corners
of the planet.

Hey David,

The audio render didn’t get it but the mixdown did… until
I changed something else, then I had to do it again.
According to the manual it discards the file and un-dims
the check mark.
Strange really, I have more heavily manipulated audio clips
than that, in more complicated sections.
I’ll have to add a post-it to remind me to render the mixdown
during the final play-thru check.

Yes, good point Peter!
I should’ve thought of that as well.
Sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees.
Too many late night edit sessions.
In my pathetic defense, typing Bad TV
in to the FCP user manual window
gives me 0 occurrences?
