Yes I have seen that but I pretty much use it the way you do, very subtle and feather it.
Sometimes just bringing up the level on just the talents face.

I don’t have to do that very often but have before. When there is an over all green or yellow cast to the shot because of odd lights in the building and run and gun. (I hate run and gun)

I have never used it over an entire timeline myself, (I don’t know if you were responding to the OP or me)
I have only used it on small sections and it’s slow on that. I couldn’t imagine using it on an entire timeline

I love what the program can do but it’s so slow I hesitate to use it. I hope they are able to improve it in the future.

I like those guys and it’s a fun video, but I like that color board also.
Just straight forward to me, slide over to the color you want less of or more of and add or subtract.
Add as many layers as you want. I like using the shape mask to.

So often we get into that run and gun situation.
Even shooting an interview inside and then b-roll of the person outside their house feeding horses.
It would be cool to have the option when you need it and I need it a lot : )

No doubt. I like it being there, just seems like they could have tossed the filter wheel in there also, since we are talking about convenience.

I don’t know Lance if I buy that completely.
It has HDMI output which seems more a video need. (go into any consumer monitor rather than a high end one that only takes SDI)
But the topper for me is they have it shooting a baseball game in their ad in the workflow section.
Can’t think of a more video style event than that. Or one that I would want a filter wheel less : )

To get the price down that low you gotta cut some corners.

I would say first it effects rental houses who have invested in those you listed.
It used to be you could take some time and get a camera paid off before people where asking for the newest latest thing (that was half what you paid for yours).
I don’t know about others, but there is still a trust factor when I’m putting down the cash.
BM has not been making cameras long enough to have a track record form me, and the same for AJA
I know about Sony, Panasonic and Canon.
I have yet to see anybody out in the field shooting with a BM camera. Maybe this new one will change that.
I hope that Sony and the rest don’t start sacrificing quality to get down to a cheap price to compete.
A race to the bottom if you will.
You could save money on the upfront price of a camera but if it goes down on a important job and bags you will it be worth it.
On a side note, I noticed that X is on the laptop in their ad for the CION

I wonder if reactions like that had them thinking it wasn’t all that high a priority.
