Try exporting it by choosing export as QuickTime and use current settings – self contained. When you use QuickTime conversion you are adding a layer if compression. But really, any of those other steps could’ve been the culprit.

The other possibility is that your machine is having trouble playing back the HQ file so it’s not really “baked in” like you might think. Try playing the finished piece on a more beefy machine?

I use the LaCie eSATA to TB and its awesome! The eSATA drives are much more affordable so the $199 for the LaCie is well worth it!

  • Try right clicking on one of the keyframes itself. You really should update X to 10.0.8 as well.

    Try this link:

    https://www.fcp.co/final-cut-pro/tutorials/1129-the-correct-way-to-archive-a-final-cut-pro-x-project

Check out where they’re talking about changing the referenced media to non-high quality media before they archive a project. Might be what you’re looking for.

Oh…and they lost the live audio from the board so I had to use the studio track…that worked great! Synced with audio perfectly.

My best recommendation is to buy the Ripple Training multi-cam course! I did and its awesome! They show you every possible way. I did a live rock video with 2 DSLRs, a gopro, and an HDV cam and it worked out great (even if the performance wasn’t the best). Watch it here: https://youtu.be/mWEUrCIlXHc

And if the actual sharing doesn’t work, you’ll find the converted file in the shared folder inside the project using finder. Then upload directly via a browser. Makes perfect files in my experience.
