Maybe I haven’t been at it long enough to say for certain, but I edit AVCHD video and I’ve only had one crash that lost any of my work. and two total. (That was MS 8)

I now use MS 9 and the worst that’s happened was ONE time the rendering just stopped progressing for some unexplained reason.

I completely agree. Nothing worse than paying hundreds of dollars for high end software and have it bug out on you. I’d rather wait a few months and get something that’s stable and reliable.

My excitement, however is about the 64bit support of the next version. In fact I built my whole editing machine around the hope of using a 64 bit editor. But the ones which claim 64bit support currently don’t do it well.

I downloaded and installed it but MS9 doesn’t seem to see it as a plugin (or I’m looking at the wrong place).

How would I actually access the manager after its installed (assuming it is working)

I don’t have Vegas Pro, but rather MS9 Plat Pro + pack, I haven’t seen media manager in it.

It only encodes to mp4 at 640×480 or lower…which is junk, but for now it’s what’s in my budget. Maybe when pro gets a version 9 I’ll have the $$$ for an upgrade.

    I haven’t found it in MS8.

Is that a feature of the full version only?

Been considering gettin IT rather than the MS version.

Also are there any comprehensive (free) video tutorials on how to use Vegas to its full potential? I’m a visual leaner so something like that would be helpful.

    Thank you!

I am using 4.5 and the specific setting was to change the “End Action” Command to “Loop”
