What’s the computer? is it new? What’s the mouse? Is it a Mighty Mouse? It can be used as a right-clicking mouse, though the default stupidly is not. Use the right button. Use the scroll wheel. They work and are extremely useful in the pro apps.

What’s a stream interruption message? Could you be more specific about exactly what’s happen on your computer? Do you mean iChat messages, email? Get another computer, like a laptop and set it up to do that.

Please give full specifications of computer, devices, formats, settings in FCP and exactly what you’re doing. Without information about your system and what you’re trying to do any one’s just guessing as what could be the problem.

Supported for video applications playback of media? Really? Is this new? Do you have any more information on this? The last document I saw from Apple on this only reluctantly supported FW drives. I have never seen anything suggesting their use with video media, though I have heard of a number of people who have used it successfully.

You have to edit the material before you put it into the timeline and apply your transition, or you have to ripple the material in the timeline. One way is described in the link above.

USB is not supported by Apple for video applications. FW400 works with DV material. You can get a FW800 to 400 cable. There is no way to add an additional drive internally to the iMac. The issue may be more complicated by the other devices, particular the camera or deck, you might have connected.

The one frame transition occurs when there is a handle only on the outgoing side of the edit. This doesn’t occur when the handle is only on the incoming side of the edit.
