I can’t do that as then it stops working with resolve and fcpx. Looks like another project I can gleefully move away from adobe.

Yes that’s right – there is a similar setting in Logic Pro X, but it seems a bit flakey for reliable sync. It seems as though the only way would be to de-embed the audio from the SDI outs, and then re-embed to XLR so that is going to get pricey. The best way is to either; use Ultrastudio 4K and stop doing 5.1 for client previews on a video monitor, or buy a new thunderbolt 2/3 I/O and use Protools.

Eric have you seen the new dual mag reader from sonnet that is thunderbolt 3? I can’t import one to the UK as yet, but they look great….

Ok well they don’t sell to the UK so scratch that option.

Can you really make a PC equivalent for half price Bob? I looked at custom Linux systems with similar GPU and ram and there was maybe $3-4K in it at absolute best?

It’s in most laptops now Bernie, just not in as large sizes or with as good read/write speeds

This was 2 years ago. Doing some more ambitious things with VR this year which should be launched next year some time.
