Doug,
The only reason, back then, I suggested setting it back to FULL, was that if SONY released another update, the problem bypassed might have been fixed.

Since there are no more v10 updates coming, leave it where it is, if it works for you.

Malcolm,

Mercalli V2 wants you to install the K-lite codec pack. Did you?

That may very well be your problem if your system was previously stable.

That codec pack is known to cause serious issues with Vegas.

I, too, have Mercalli V2 installed but I did not install that codec pack.

If you are using Vegas Pro 11, you can do this. Not on earlier versions.

From the online help (Multicamera Editing – Overview)

Vegas Pro can expand a multicamera track to multiple component tracks.

Select a multicamera track in the track list.

From the Tools menu, choose Multicamera, and then choose Expand to Multiple Tracks from the submenu.

You are prompted to either keep unused takes as muted events or delete them. If you keep unused takes as muted events, you can recreate your multicamera track later. Click Yes to keep unused takes or No to delete them.

When I posted above to say I couldn’t repro, I was initially using the ASIO driver that is installed with my Black Magic Design Decklink Studio 2 card.

I use the same driver for Windows sounds and have never had any issues other than it insists on 48k, 16bit.

I then tried all the other drivers that showed up options in Vegas Preferences for audio device and still had no issues.

This sounds very much like an audio device driver problem to me. Cannot repro here on Win7-64bit and VP build 595 (64-bit).
