Thanks Vishesh, but I definitely need it to accept environment attributes.

Anyway, I figured it out.

I precomposed the layers and then pushed the new layer back in Z space. That fixed it.

When you use it with a text layer, make sure you change the mode to “expand.”

So I would just keyframe some blur? That makes sense.

I got an nice ink flow effect with Trapcode Particular on the Smoke preset by luma matting a Riot Gear ink flow over it and its duplicates.

Hey Jean, thanks for the response!

Oddly, I did get everything to render on its own, but now I have a composition made up of only pre-rendered clips and 2 adjustment layers and it crashes about halfway through. All clips are the same frame rate and resolution.

One clip in particular seems to be causing it, so I’ll remove that and see what happens.

Rendering as a TIFF sequence looks interesting, I’ll look into that.

Thanks Joe, I recreated it in Photoshop with an alpha and it helped. I’ll try outputting my original file in .png format.
