    The swooshes look like Trapcode 3D Stroke to me. The text looks like a pretty simple blur/distort/scale.

    So I would just keyframe some blur? That makes sense.

    I got an nice ink flow effect with Trapcode Particular on the Smoke preset by luma matting a Riot Gear ink flow over it and its duplicates.

    Another creative effect which looks cooler than a blur is to do what’s called a Compound Blur, using the luminance values of another animation (inkflow could work, or a noise effect with a wipe left to right added over it) to cause the blur. You can also do the same thing with using luminance values to distort the image. It’s a little complicated, but you can do some really cool transitions with it.
