Bob, I believe that the question is referring to “Legals” as graphics otherwise known as Disclaimers and their required heights, in scan lines and the time necessary to remain on the screen to be read by the viewer.

Check the menu in the deck’s setup. I believe that you have the option of setting the deck to feed Ch1/2 audio onputs to Ch3/4 or to set up CH3/4 to have different, separate inputs.
I don’t have a deck in front of me right now, but it’s either a Menu setting or a switch on the slide out control panel.

If you are exporting to your Desktop (Read:system drive) do you know you have enough room left on the drive for the full Quicktime file?

I’ve simply used a good wireless mic to transmit time code to another camcorder to jam code and it worked well. Just feed the code into the transmitter and feed the receiver output into whatever. It worked fine for a several hour shoot. Not sure I would trust the reliability to trigger explosives…

Thanks Dave. I have one client in particular who has trouble when I send him .wmv files. Seems that they always get caught in his spam filter and he can never get his IT guys to change the settings for him. Quicktimes seem to make it through OK. Go figure. I’ll take a look at the preferences. Seems I had to do this on an earlier Quicktime version but I’d forgotten about it.
