    hi there all.

for a rather large event i need to distribute timecode to several location’s a few can be reached with cable but other don’t simple because they are on a other side of a river or on boat’s. on the boat’s and other shore of the river there is light and pyro to be triggered with Timecode.
my first idea was to use a full bandwith audio transmitter and some recievers. the other idea i have is to use a videotransmitter and insert VITC and use VITCreaders on the recieving point’s

does anyone have experience with this ????
i will cross post this in the broadcastvideo forum also.

hope you can provide some answers.

    greet
    Maurice

I’ve simply used a good wireless mic to transmit time code to another camcorder to jam code and it worked well. Just feed the code into the transmitter and feed the receiver output into whatever. It worked fine for a several hour shoot. Not sure I would trust the reliability to trigger explosives…
