I did recapture again, with NO errors, so the tape seems to be the problem.

This is exactly what I’m working on.
I’m trying to move from a Power Point based programs to Encore video based, yet I still want the control which Power Point gives.

Right now, I’m testing one long movie with lots of Chapter points and the End Action of each takes me back to the Menu with the next item highlighted.

This seems to work for me.
The enter key plays the chapter and when it’s done stops at the beginning of the next chapter.

I’ve noticed that while the video is playing you can jump forward and backward.

Question – do you do all your work in Encore or do you work in Premiere and move the entire movie to Encore?

I’m not sure what you mean by embedded.

    I just
File – Export – Adobe Clip Notes.

It sounds like you’re doing something else.

While I don’t know specifically what’s wrong – it could be a hundred different things, I’d first restore from a known good installation. I use Acronis True Image to Backup and Restore.

Also check your memory and swap file, free hard drive space plus I’d stop all EXTRA running programs.

Try AutoRuns from Microsoft to stop most programs from running in the background.

    Good Luck.

I’d first check my C: and see how much free space is actually on there.
Try Spacemonger 1.4 to find large files.

2nd I’d setup Windows to increase it’s memory automatically so you can use your hard drive for memory space. It’s a bit slower, but you won’t run out of memory.

    Good luck

You don’t say who is going to use this DVD.

If you need to give it to someone else, I’d buy a
Dual Layer disk burner – they’re less than $100.

If you’re going to use it yourself, there are utilities which will break up a file into two parts. Search on Google

    I think I’ve found a solution.
Maybe this will help someone else also.

Right click on the video and choose Field Options – Interlace Consecutive Frames.

This seems to be the fix I need.
I haven’t rendered it yet, but on the screen it seems to make a dramativ difference.

I’ve had trouble with QuickTime Export also.

I’d suggest – Export as as avi file and then use QuickTimePro to change the file to a QT format.

Here’s also another note I wrote to myself.
If you use a Green Screen key on some video and you want to keep the old
