Even on my powerful HP Z820 I still find that I prefer to render the more complicated AE dynamically linked comps to get smooth playback. You can do that in PrP, but its faster to export a movies from AE since its renders faster then AE. Be sure you check “Project Link”. If you need to make changes to it in PrP, just right click and select “Edit Original” to reopen AE.

I wouldnt know. I originally had CS6 on my 2008 Mac Pro. This past summer I decided to kick Apple to the curb and get an HP Z820, which now also has CS6. The Mac Pro is now relegated to email and the web since the Z blows it out of the water.

I have both a Mac Pro and z HP Z820. When Im working in CS6 its the same experience on both.

How about in your final comp have 2 layers of your on talent
1.Displaced version
2.Regular version
Then create a mask over the man is the displaced version to reveal the regular version underneath.

Is the shot being placed on the screen a full screen shot.
By that I mean, if your comp & tracking shot is 1920 x 1080, is the video being place on the screen the same size. I bet its not.
If this is the problem, take the footage and precomp it in a size that matches your main project.. Then stretch it to fill the full screen.Then apply the tracking data to the precomp.
I believe in MI+ there is a choice that does this for you automatically.

Chris, Please post a link to the the clip you are referring to so I can see what you are doing.
Please clarify what you mean by screenshot. Are you referring to the shot of the screen rotating on the turntable OR the shot of the screen that will be placed into the rotating shot?
