Another consideration should be Zaxwerks Proanimtor. It has wonderful 3D text animation capabilities.

Have you tried resetting the software to the default display? I think its an option under the Windows drop down menu and then in work area. Not around the software to check at the moment.

I also concur. But no need to buy C4D. The latest version of Blender is more than capable to do this kind of thing as well. But only after learning how to use 3D software. Lots of complicated stuff going on at times.

My clips were clean with no effects or fades. Im using the AE camera tracker for simple stuff and Syntheyes when supervised tracking is needed. I dont miss The Foundrys version at all. 😀

Rodney, here is a stage I built in AE that was inspired by one that Andrew Kramer did a tutorial on for his Optical Flares plugin.

Unfortunately the tutorial is a part of the product package. But well worth the investment.

Tim, I havent had that problem.

When I need a change I Edit Original, make changes, save project then export as the same name overwriting the originally created movie export.

No, its suggested by folks much smarter then me not to place media on the same drive that your apps are on (i.e.,the system drive). Accessing the apps AND media off the same drive can slow down things dramatically.

Though for HD work I would tend to want an external drive with better access time then FW800. Of course that is dependent on the format and compression type of your media.

As and example, since I want to be able to use Red, Epic ,H.264 and AVCHD (large and/or highly compressed media files) I purchased this

I have had this problem intermittently as well with rendered preview files,

My solution is to export from AE to DNxHD (or whatever you prefer) WITH PROJECT LINK CHECKED.

This way, when I import the movies into PRP and place it on the timeline, if I need to revise it I can select it-right click-then use Open Original to reedit it. This works well for me.
