I really like using CC BALL ACTION for this effect. I think it is under the Simulations menu.

Thanks Jim & Clay at Digital Anarchy for the 1.2 update for the PC you sent me on 2/17.. As I told Debbie in an email I sent her on 2/18….

“The Matrix function is still not repeating layers. I can complete the Matrix Tutorial for 6.5 just fine, several times in fact. But when I do the same tutorial in 7, NO LAYERS ARE GENERATED BY THE REPEAT FUNCTION. Try it yourself. I have no prob with 6.5 but 7 is still broken(as it was before). ”

She said she would relay this info to the appropriate folks.

I have just about every plugin recently (6.5) created…and I just copied and pasted them from 6.5 to 7.0. Trapcode’s Particular and Echospace were updated to deal with minor UI issues, but other than that noreinstallation was needed.

As Steve said, two different ways and strengths. I’d say if you are comfortable with Premier, use it for what it does best and augment it with AE. The new Creative Production Studio upgrade has them interacting in wonderful ways! It seems to allow you to to get the best from each with a powerful link between them as well.

When I have had the same problem you have described it is related to the way AE is interpreting the field order. Right click on your video clip. Access the Interprete Footage Screen.Under “Fields and Pulldown”
access the Fields window. You have the options for “Lower Field First” and
“Upper Field First” . Try both and see if things clear up. They did for me.

First ,download a demo of Trapcode Particular. Then, find their Free Pyro Project and download it. They have just what you a looking for, I think.

Rendering is the downfall. When you edit in a “native” codec in most systems, there is minial rendering. Also, from my expereince, the interface is not really designed to do all the edit functions that most NLE
really fly at.
