Hey guys, I’ve got After Effects 7.0 and Premiere 2.0 on the way here sometime in the next week and I was jus told that one of the things I enjoyed most about the AE upgrade was the fact that you could have AE find your previous plugin folder and use them as if installed after the latest version of AE. Is this true? Is there no way to link my plugins to the new version?

    Hey Michael,

If you copy/paste your plug-ins into the ae 7.0 plug-in folder you will not need to reinstall anything.

    Hope this helps.

    Salut.

I was told that it didn’t work with some of them. Anything that keeps me from reinstalling them again.

I have just about every plugin recently (6.5) created…and I just copied and pasted them from 6.5 to 7.0. Trapcode’s Particular and Echospace were updated to deal with minor UI issues, but other than that noreinstallation was needed.
