Hey I am trying to create the effect of a person materializing from a whirlwind of their own particals…
What I have done so far is seperate them from the background with a chroma key.. then I have used a scatter effect turned way up and then slowly fadded the scatter out.. The problem is that the Distortion tool I am using (Mesh) YOu know the grid.. is stretching out the particals of the scatter.. what I am going for is a look as if the particals whirl in on a wind…. and then form into the person… Which distort effect would be good to acheive this…?

I really like using CC BALL ACTION for this effect. I think it is under the Simulations menu.
