The word on the web is that it has been pulled from the Apple store but you can still buy it at B & H for the time being. Who knows how long that will last…

Dont reflexively jump to Avid. I used various Avids for 15 years and they lack a lot of what cool things FCP 7 offered. Look into CS5 (Premiere Pro built from the ground up).They have a lot of similar features. Pair that with After Effects and Photoshop and things look pretty good from where I am sitting

Building for the future is a lofty ideal, but I have to edit NOW. My future is with CS5. Its a transparent transition that I tested in anticipation of just this kind of occurrence…

Its not only software, its a tool to make a living. And when everyone else is using power drills and getting lots of work done…you look pretty silly and inefficient sitting there with a hand crank drill in your hands. Get it?

FYI AJA supports not only FCP, Vegas, Adobe but also Avid, Autodesk (Smoke, etc), Fusion, Cineform, Nuke and Media 100. Just to keep your facts straight. 😉
