    Hi –
so, I have to stay in business. When you do you think that Apple will “pull the plug” on FCS3
and the only thing you will be able to buy for a new system is FCP X ?

When will “no more new FCP7’s” be a reality ?

The word on the web is that it has been pulled from the Apple store but you can still buy it at B & H for the time being. Who knows how long that will last…

    Well Bob,

Its been pulled off the Apple online store. I would guess resellers are not going to be getting new stock of FCS3.

Maybe its time for a new business….want to partner with me on some pizza ovens?

Different people have been reporting that they have asked the vendors to return unsold copies.
If that is indeed true you are SOL on FCS3.

I have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.
    You should be suitably impressed…

Is it illegal to pirate discontinued software?

I would find all the copies you can and stock up. From what I’ve read retailers started shipping back boxed copies to Apple last week.

Not me. If FCS is EOL, I’ll make do with the 3 licenses I have until I figure out what we’ll be using next, whether it’s X or something else. Not giving apple any more money for now.
