Never use your computer monitor to make color judgements. Only with an external reference monitor getting SDI info from a device like the AJA Kona 3, can you make accurate reliable evaluations. Anything else is random and arbitrary. I know lots of folks do it, but its not a good way to QC your video.

Mark, something is amiss with your PrP. (FYI Im on a Mac)

1. I have Mark In (I key) and Mark Out (o key) on my Prp 5.5

2. Copy is Command C – Paste is Command V

3. Delete – The key just to the right of the + sign.

Hi Shane. 2 new drivers. 9.1 for Kona and friends. And 9.1 for Adobe plugin for CS 5.5 (PrP and AE external display). Ive been testing primarily the PrP.

And yes, I have been viewing the output from the Source and the Program monitor thru the Kona to my external reference monitor. Playback on the computer screen (left and right GUI monitors) bumps a little at first when played, but is rock solid on the external monitor.

I dont believe the Nvidia 4000 card would help with this render in PrP. Your understanding of Dynamic Linking is correct, but AE renders in a different more faster manner than PrP. I suggest you post this issue at the Adobe forum where folks from Adobe might be a bit more helpful then I am. Here is where to post

Got it. Lets make this easy. How about rendering out of AE your project as a file (Animation or Prores or whatever codec you prefer). Then just import that file into Premiere Pro. Are you on PrP 5.5? Then as you did before, drag that imported AE file to the Make New Sequence icon.
AE renders in a manner that is much faster then PrP so this may help you out. Good luck! 😀

More info needed…format of sequence….format/codec of clips…
does your sequence match EXACTLY your clips (format/frame rate/PAR)?

Just for clarification, is it a 1 min. and 36 sec. timeline or a 1 hour and 36 minute timeline, that is taking 4 hours?
