Mask and rotoscope the green items on a duplicate layer thats above the original layer you intend to chroma key. Lots of work!

Thanks Josh. BTW I sent AJA our experience with the DNX files this afternoon. I think them and Adobe are a great match. They both are good listeners and they make great stuff 😀

Really? Is the Ki Pro Mini also supporting it? I think that device could be a great way to do a real time dump from the PrP time line thru the Kona’s SDI output into the Ki Pro Mini SDI. This could avoid some of the long render times folks deal with for long form or graphic intensive projects. Kind of like the old dump to tape we all used to do .

UPDATE

Josh, you are correct. I converting a 30 sec Prores master in AME to DNX. Then I made a sequence from that clip. I set the Kona 3 to Aggressive Cace and tried both HIGH quality and MEDIUM quality. I played it on the timeline and PrP struggled with both settings, dropping frames left and right. Its time to communicate this to AJA since DNX is a real up and comer. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the heads up about DNX. I havent tried decoding or encoding yet, but I will this afternoon. It really seems next in line to replace Prores since Apple dropped the ball on the professional video community. Wish me luck!
