Have you found a solution to this problem? I’m running into the same issues. It’s quite serious, as it delays my workflow regularly

Fortunately, this box came with Windows 7.

I did get the calibrated software after some research (and then some mumbling and grumbling). I haven’t had many issues at all with the switch. I do like Premiere. Although I’m having this weird sync issue. About half the time when I start to view a commercial i’m working on, the audio starts first then about a second later the video starts. The next time I do it, no problem.

Wow, that’s a longer, much more eloquent version of what I wrote. Great article. I HATE even having to consider switching, I just feel like Apple cares less and less about this market. I’m sure if you looked at their earnings the pro market would be a very slim margin of their whole. I can totally understand why they would do it, financially speaking.
But it still kinda sucks. But I’m sure I’ll forget about it as I stare at Cinema 4d and After Effects tearing through some renders (which I’ve already done)Dell T76000 Dual 8-core 2.4 GHz

August 16, 2012 at 3:00 pm in reply to: XDCAM EX Quicktime Movies Not Viewable on PCs??So let me get this straight…I’ve got to drop $149 to get QT (so, effectively After Effects and Premiere Pro) to read the hundreds of GB of footage I’ve already got. Grumble grumble.

I just found out from Sony that it is a “Hard lens failure”. Solution? Replace the lens. Cost? $1600 including labor. Lovely.

I’ve had that same problem a few times. I had to bypass the print to tape function and just do it manually from the timeline. If you go to “Final Cut Pro” then select “Audio/Video settings” then select the last tab which is “A/V Devices” you can set your playback output the same as your print to video options. You’ve just got to be careful because you can’t navigate away or no other program can disturb it or it’ll stop.
Hope this makes sense and helps

I was just doing the copy and paste attributes which works great. I paste the “Basic Motion” and “Distort” attributes and it works great
