I’m not sure what the budget is on your project, but we’ve been using rev.com for the past 2 years. They will transcribe the file for $1/finished minute and give you whatever format you need.
I spent way too much time before that transcribing. They generally get it back to you within 1-2 days.

In the Effects panel, go to Video Effects/Video folder.
There’s an effect called Simple text. You can drop it on the clip and write whatever you want. IDK if it works with an adjustment layer but you could try that for an overlay over the whole thing.

Do you have a video card displaying to an external monitor? I had a similar issue where i would get the white screen of death pretty frequently. If I disabled my video card output (I had an older BlackMagic card) there were no issues.
I ended up getting a better video card (one that could handle 4k) and most of my issues went away.Dell Precision 5810 Intel Xeon 3.0 GHz

Definitely After Effects, it’s much easier to control. You could animate a mask however you like.
Maybe just a quick dissolve between the video and logo? Maybe you could run a subtle light sweep over the graphic right after the dissolve for extra flair.

Are there any plugins you’re using? I used to have awful problems with Magic Bullet plugs.
Have you tested your memory? Sometimes faulty ram can cause issues.
Do you always use AME or do you ever export right out of Premiere? I had some issues last year with crashing that were bypassed by exporting directly out of Premiere.Hopefully you find the problem, sporadic problems are the worst!

Hi Alan
I think it has to do with Premiere doing away with reading “Legacy formats”. It was that warning you may have seen several months before they actually started doing it. I’ve had to convert my footage to a different format (Prores works). Most of the time, it has been old clips that were shot on a GoPro or stock video I downloaded.
Converting it and re-linking should solve the problem. Don’t try to re-link it before or the clip will totally disappear making the process a little more difficult.TVS

Mine does weird things like this sometimes. Since the update, if there is a track that I have on Solo, I have to click and unclick in order to hear audio.
