John – You can see in the screen grab it is set to full. Although, the image is set to FIT to window. Which is what I’m guessing is the problem.

I would double-check to make sure your source does match your sequence – drag source clip to new sequence item lower right of bin. See if that works. And you are looking at “Fit” to window. How big is that? Put it to 100% and see if it looks like it does outside of PPro.

Hard to say. What are the specs of the video you are editing? File type, Codec, Image size?

Where did these files originate from?
If VLC can play them fine, I’m betting you could try transcoding them using Handbrake. I’m guessing that AME would do the same as PPro. Handbrake has some really good Production Presets that would keep a higher quality file. And it might be able to “repair” any issues the file is having.

Yes. What Tero and Jon said. Now, I’m not sure why iDVD won’t take an h264 mp4, but you can make a couple other options. The image size will be changed as Tero suggested to 720×480. In the QuickTime presets you should have a ProRes NTSC SD preset that should work. If not, try a MPEG2-DVD NTSC DV Wide preset. They will crunch it down to the correct size. And iDVD SHOULD be able to use either of them. Unfortunately, my Mac, with Mojave, no longer has iDVD so I can’t say for sure.

  • Do you only have one source in your multicam? I cannot get my multicam to do that. The yellow is on my selected source when viewing multicam. That just lets me know which source is selected. Not sure how you got to that point. If I load the individual source into my source window from a bin, it’s not there – only on the multcam. Maybe someone else can help…

I’ve on occasion got random memory issues. But I can’t recall what I did…. ha! Usually quitting AE and opening it again takes care of those for me.
    What is your original footage?

Get yourself Handbrake and render it out to a different mp4 file stripping out any alpha channel. I didn’t think mp4 even supported alpha channels, which is probably why there is a problem. You can just luma key onto your video, you don’t need the alpha.

Only thing I can think of offhand is to clear your disk cache and maybe your preferences. Win10 update shouldn’t be affecting it like that.
