I’m not sure Adobe supports midi, I would go ahead and try VLC to convert. If you work with video, you should already have it installed. ☺

Try transcoding your footage to an edit friendly codec like ProRes or Cineform. Or edit with Proxies.

Have you ever tried trashing your PPro preferences? So that you know you’re at default settings.
I would ask for screen shots of prefs, but this will be easier.

Not sure why you need it. But Google has fancy calculators for all that kind of stuff!
Basically, 1000 kilobits is a megabit.
But yes. Mbps is the more common for data rate. If they list file size, that will be more in the GB or MB (Gigabyte/Megabyte), bytes versus bits.

Is you timeline 1080? Have you tried without “Maximum Quality Setting”? I’ve gotten mixed results in the past with MQS – use only if scaling to a different image size.

It’s been a while since I touched a Pegasus, but as long as the drives are on the compatibility sheet, you should be good. You will most likely have to go into the software and set the drives up as RAID5 – I doubt that will be automatic. But it is a simple process. Your old drives could sit on a shelf, just number what slots they came out of. They could always get swapped back in if you needed to.
