And as far as your original question… I usually export my audio at 48KHz High Quality AAC at 320Kbps for masters. For viewing files that I may email, I may take the audio bit rate down to 192Kbps and I compress the video down to around 1.5Mbps 720p.

I’ll be honest Ryan, it sounds like you are mixing up audio settings with video settings. There is a bit depth in video and audio, but they are two separate things. Bit depth in audio is number of bits in a sample – or something like that. Bit depth in video usually refers to color information. Both of which I don’t think you need to worry about when exporting from PPro.
Audio, as stated by Tero, usually has a bit rate of 16-320kbps, but can go higher. Video bit rate usually is specified by Mbps, and if you are using a variable bit rate for video, you can select your Target bit rate and Maximum.

h264 not on the Adobe supported Exports list for QuickTime. This has been out for awhile.

Really? My AME v14.0 on Mac does not have h264 under QuickTime. If I recall, my 13.1.5 version didn’t either. How current are you running?
I do mp4 now if they ask for h264, otherwise I just send ProResHQ.

I believe that h264 in a QT is no longer available. That was one of the things we lost a while ago. Send it as an h264 MP4. Definitely do Progressive, unless you’ve shot and edited interlaced. Definitley do 29.97 fps.
I know our station uses Flip Factory to convert files sent in to us to our master air files. It does not like certain things – frame rates other than 29.97 and h264 in a QT wrapper. And you would not believe how many commercials get sent in at 23.98 or 24 fps. Glad someone is looking at specs before sending in for broadcast! ☺

To make tracks larger/smaller, I usually have to hold either Shift or Option on my Mac.
To zoom in on timeline I have to go down to the scroll bar at the bottom of the timeline window, then I can use the mouse to zoom in/out. But typically I use + – and \ for doing that – using default keyboard layout on Mac.

Now, I’ve never tried it. But I assume VLC has support for midi – I’ve read that anyways…
