November 6, 2019 at 1:47 amThe extra audio gain is a nice improvement, otherwise nothing there for me in Premiere. Looks like some nice speed upgrades in AE.

We’ve been doing a bit of reformatting lately for digital signage and social media outlets for clients. So the AutoReframe in Premiere Pro looks like it may be helpful.

November 6, 2019 at 9:16 amI’ve had trouble getting HEVC/H.265 to work at all, even in the 2019 version. It seems to be quite snappy on the 2020 version. Big improvement from my perspective.
Also has HDR10 capability between PPro and AE. Looking forward to trying that out but haven’t done yet.

November 6, 2019 at 12:08 pmA couple of things to do when you install. This is for macOS, so it may or may not apply for those on Windows.
Premiere resets custom cache locations to the default. So if you route cache files somewhere else, reset those prefs. Check all other Adobe apps as well for their cache assignments.
Rescan your audio plug-ins.
The various Adobe dock launch icons are not updated. Remove them and then pin the new launchers to the dock.

November 6, 2019 at 2:11 pmAnd if you need to keep older versions of PPro, which I’d advise, read here: https://www.provideocoalition.com/careful-updating-to-adobe-premiere-pro-2020-and-keeping-your-older-premiere-versions-installed/

November 6, 2019 at 4:39 pmI’d love to install at our studio but when the updates get to 40-50% it just freezes. It’s been like this for months. Our IT person has to request package updates so we can upgrade our systems. URGH!!!!

November 6, 2019 at 11:55 pmIt’s hard for me to overstate how big of a deal the increase in time remapping max % is for us. We work in sports, so speed ramping is practically a way of life for us.
