Is the jpg an RGB or CMYK format? Pull into Photoshop and look at the file. Make sure it is RGB…

Your first issue is delivering your spot as a DVD file. There is your first problem. Why a station is asking for a DVD doesn’t make any sense. DVD mpeg compression will reduce your file quality. Are there no other delivery formats they can take?

Your best bet is to figure out how close in your need to be, and then how big of a canvass you want to zoom out on. I do think that creating a mock-up in Illustrator is the way to go. That way you can layout your entire board, and even import a high res image of one into Illustrator. Once you are happy with the layout, import the whole thing into your project and use your 3D position and rotation keys to simulate camera motion.

  • You are right about the resolution of the monitor. It is not true HD and also keep in mind that it is a computer monitor, not an HD TV set. Your graphics are probably fine, but to view 1080 best use a true 1080 HD set, not a computer monitor.

You could also consider an animated .gif file depending on how detailed the animation is. You could then embed the .gif right into the body of the email message and it would play on the receivers’ end.
