Do you have any quicktime or other media files as a source in your comp? If so, they may be also causing the rendering problems, as would the output file if you are also rendering to anything other than sequence images. Since media files are placed into temp RAM so that you can access frames. Unlike sequencial files that only load the current frame neede to render the comp.

    Hope that helps.

or click on your render window and ctrl-a to select them all.

  • what may be happening is AE is looking to render out your project and it guestimates how much file space it will need to render your movie file. unlike targa sequence where it will look for 1.3mb space, it is looking for maybe a gig or whatever final avi or quicktime size the project will end up at once completely rendered. if you try rendering a targa sequence and it starts to render without giving you that error, then you know it is a memory buffering problem where large movie files (avi, wmv, qt, mov, etc) will not be generate because AE thinks there will not be enough room in mem to create the temp file while rendering.

I am guessing you are trying to render a section that makes up the individual frame for each projection? If so, then why not create a new comp at 1024×768, then drag your main 9by2 comp in and position it where you need to and render away.

You need to use a matte with blurred edges for your text reveal. Create the matte on a layer above and select alpha matte setting for your text layer.

Go into adjust>levels and lower the output white to 240 or so. You can output to NTSC waveform monitor and see the difference it makes bringing the levels down to braodcast standard.

You could try creating a comp with a looped earthmap sliding left to right. Then create a new comp and drag the earthloop in. Use both sphere and bezier distort (wrap the corners back to a round shape) to get a “sphere-like” look that can unwrap nice. Add a light to the scene to get 3D depth. Let me know how it works.

It depends on how your graphics look once they are upsized to the higher resolution. Create a 1920 x 1080 project and drag the graphics into it and scale up. Judgement call, but if they pass scrutiny, then you have saved yourself the redo job.
