It all depends on how you block your shots. If they are wide shots, then you may get away with comping in real wings from stock photo sources. Are the shots close-up? You may want to look at how much it would cost to rent wings from a prop place and rig on set to how much it would cost in man-hours ($) to do 3D. Also, turbosquid has some decent models of wings for sale, as do other 3D model shops.

Yep. I think I read to uninstall the old ones, or at least rename them old, before installing the new set.

Your logos should be imported with pixels set to square, as 1080 is square pixel.

You may want to look at Dataton Watchout. If you create your AE comp to the size of the screen, then render two half sections (or maybe even three sections), you would want to have some overlap when projection happens, using two or three projectors. That way you don’t have to worry about pixel aspect problems and testing.

Set your rotation start and end keyframes, then on the end keyframe set the ease in. Go into the dropdown toggle for rotation and play with the beziers controlto get what you want.

As a test, try rendering the main comp with only the .ai files visible. What happens?
