Is your tutorial .mov supposed to have audio that goes with it? I think it would be much easier to follow if it did. It definately is an interesting looking plugin.

Render out two scenes… one where the logo flys out and stops. Then render out a separate one where the logo starts in the “flyout” position and flies back to the origin with the echo following. Then just drop the two renders in another comp back to back and it should look right.
I’m sure there’s a more elegant way, but it should get the job done.

It’s not in AE. Proanimator is a standalone app only. The equivalent AE plugin is Invigorator or Invigorator Pro. They pretty much do the same thing as Proanimator, though.

August 16, 2006 at 1:51 am in reply to: Pre-Composing vs. Nesting a Composition…muiisal,
Ok, so when would it NOT be a good thing to move attributes to the new comp? Should I just automatically choose the move all attributes option? I seem to remember a few tutorials where it said not to. I can’t remember which ones, or what the circumstances were, though.
Thanks for taking the time to help.

August 14, 2006 at 7:44 pm in reply to: Pre-Composing vs. Nesting a Composition…Ok, I have a follow up to this question. What’s the difference between moving all attributes to the new comp and not doing it? The dialoge box always comes up, and I do whatever the tutorial I’m following says to, but am not really sure why sometimes you should, but other times you wouldn’t. My own projects would probably look a lot more organized and user friendly if I could figure this out.
Thanks!

June 22, 2006 at 11:10 pm in reply to: Looping smoke effect in George Polevoy tutorial?Hi,
I had a similar effect in the title sequence of a movie I did. The titles blew in from the left – mimicking blowing sand – coalesced into the title, then blew away again off screen to the right. I used the shatter effect and a gradient map to initially get the titles to blow away to the right, then rendered that out once it looked right, imported the rendered clip, reversed it and Boom! I had the sand blowing in and forming the title! I made a new comp, put the reversed clip on it, a still of the complete title for as long as I wanted it to hold, and then the normal rendered clip blowing off to the right. Worked like a charm. I haven’t done the tutorial you mentioned to see if that would work or not. I’ll try it at home tonight and see.
